Michienne Dixon, liNKCity

Michienne is network administrator for a small municipally owned ISP in North Kansas City, Missouri (3 yrs), has been in the industry for over 10 years, spending a large portion of that time working as a network mercenary managing multiple enterprise networks and mail servers and communicating technical issues to upper-management.

Steve Gibbard

Steve is the Network Architect at Nominum, a DNS company, where
he works on network infrastructure to support hosted DNS-related
services.He has worked in the Internet industry since 1996, with
previous network engineering or architecture positions at GoGrid, Packet
Clearing House, Cable and Wireless, Digital Island, and World Wide.
Steve Gibbard is also NANOG's membership chair, and before that wrote NANOG's
bylaws as chair of the NewNOG governance committee. He was one of the
authors of the NANOG Reform document, calling for NANOG's
self-governance in 2004, and was one of the authors of the Merit NANOG
Charter in 2005.

Patrick W. Gilmore, Akamai Technologies

Patrick W. Gilmore is principal architect at Akamai Technologies, where he has worked for over eight years. He currently oversees the Network Architecture department. Prior to Akamai, he worked at Onyx Network, Concentric Networks, and Priori Networks.
He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the London Internet Exchange, a member of the Board of Directors of the Seattle Internet Exchange, and an Administrator of the PeeringDB.
Term ends October 2012.

Sylvie LaPerrière, Google

Sylvie LaPerrière has been an active builder of the global Internet Infrastructure, developing peering relationships with Internet players around the world and expanding the network in underserved markets via new undersea cables or satellite connectivity. She serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the North American Network Operators' Group (NANOG).
At Google Inc., Sylvie is on the program management team building out the Internet connectivity and content distribution reach required to deliver Google services worldwide. While at Tata Communications Ltd, she pushed the expansion of its Internet backbone network into more than 25 new markets, had it circle the globe and achieved Tier1 status.
Sylvie has 17 years of international business development experience for Internet, data and mobile telecommunications services. A frequent speaker on international panels, she received her Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Information Systems from École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal.

Misako Manca, SoftLayer Technologies

Misako Manca has been involved with NANOG since 2009 in various capacities as part of the Marketing Working Group and the Development Committee through the NewNOG transition. She has also helped jumpstart the NOGLab (formerly named the Vendor Collaboration Room) working closely with vendors who are able to demonstrate their product capabilities in relation to IPv6 deployment. Through her work in the Development Committee, she has helped create Sponsorship programs that help financially support the NANOG meetings and hopes to further improve these programs which will ultimately assist in continuity of the organization.
Misako brings 10+ years of experience in the Telecommunications and Internet services industry and currently holds a position in the Enterprise group at SoftLayer Technologies. At SoftLayer, she manages a number of major accounts, as well as offering account management support to the 25,000+ SoftLayer customers worldwide. Prior to SoftLayer, she has held various executive and account management positions with Ajilon Consulting, Equinix and NTT/Verio (now NTT America).

Michael K. Smith, Adhost

Michael is the CTO of Adhost Internet - a Seattle-based provider of colocation, hosting and managed services. He also serves as a technical adviso r to the Seattle Internet Exchange (SIX), and is a SANS Mentor. He has previously held senior network engineering positions at NoaNet, Semaphore Corporation and Northwest Link.
Term ends October 2012.

Richard Steenbergen, nLayer Communications |
Richard Steenbergen is the co-founder of nLayer Communications, a respectably sized and profitable North American based IP backbone, where he currently serves as the Chief Technical Officer. Richard brings years of experience in practical techniques for network operators, and is a frequent contributor in many community forums. Previously, Richard served as a Senior Network Engineer at several large NSPs, and was the Senior Software Engineer responsible for developing optimized routing technologies at netVmg, Inc.
Richard is also an active developer for tools and software used by the network operator community. Some notable projects include PeeringDB, a portal used by many networks to help coordinate their peering activities, and IRRPT, a software package used by ISPs to maintain IRR-based prefix filters.

David Temkin, Netflix

David Temkin is the Principal Network Architect for Content Delivery
at Netflix. He is responsible for the network architecture of Netflix's
distributed content caching systems. Previously he managed the
corporate Network Engineering teams as the Network Engineering Manager,
responsible for global data and voice networks as well as CDN
relationships.
He has also held the position of Director of
IP Product Development and Engineering at Telx. He wass responsible for
all Layer 2 & 3 product architecture, design, and deployment across
the Telx portfolio of data centers. Previously, he spent time at Yahoo!
as the Layer 4-7 Network Architect, responsible for network load
balancing. He also designed and built out the global network for Right
Media, an online ad serving startup that was later acquired by Yahoo!.

Duane Wessels, VeriSign

Following his college education in Physics and Telecommunications, Duane worked on the Squid/IRCache project at UCSD. For many years his company, The Measurement Factory, developed open source testing and measurement tools for HTTP and DNS. Recently he was the Director of the Domain Name System Operations Analysis and Research Center (DNS-OARC). Currently Duane researches DNSSEC deployment for VeriSign.
