Membership and Development Committee

The Membership and Development Committee will be responsible for the recruitment of membership, sponsorship, and other fundraising activities. The NANOG Membership and Development Committee (DC) is made up of NANOG community members appointed by the Board of Directors. You can reach the Committee at marketing@nanog.org

Gina Haspilaire
Pacnet Services (USA) Inc.

Gina Haspilaire has been an active member of NANOG since 2008 and is a member of the Development Committee since April 2011. Her background is from the Telecom Services sector where she is presently Pacnet's (leading Asia Pacific privately held subsea cable operator) Vice President for North America. She joined Pacnet in 2002 just prior to its transition from Asia Global Crossing to Asia Netcom. Before joining Pacnet, Gina was a Principal in the executive search business of Heidrick & Struggles. She began her career at AT&T as a UNIX "C" programmer and spent 14 years there in various technical, sales, and management positions. In the early 1990's she served as one of AT&T's Investor Relations Directors managing their quarterly earnings reporting process and the positioning of AT&T's stock to buy-side analyst. Gina has an MBA from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from St. John's University.

Jezzibell Gilmore

Jezzibell has been attending NANOG since 2001, and was a supporter of the transition to NewNOG and the independent nonprofit organization – NANOG. Jezzibell brings 15+ years of professional experience on the Internet. She began her tenure in the industry at AboveNet, where she worked on the IPO. Since then, she has held various positions in Marketing, Operations, Management, Global Sourcing, Corporate Strategy, and Business Development at Akamai, State Street, Roam Data, IX Reach, and ServerCentral. She currently leads the business development effort for ServerCentral, and nLayer (through its transition to Gt-t).

Jean Bomm
Telstra Globa

Jean Bomm brings more than 25 years of sales management experience as well as building and managing new lines of business channels. Most recently, Jean joined, Telstra Global, a leading global supplier of managed network and data services owning and operating one of the most technologically advanced IP backbone networks in the world. Telstra serves countries spanning Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas, with investment interests in over 50 sub-sea cable systems. As Senior Director of Global Service Providers, Jean is working with the Business Development Management Members at Telstra to strategically align sales efforts in the IP/CDN, IPX Mobile Roaming, and Satellite sectors. Jean’s responsibilities also include identification of strategic alliance relationships with complementary technology and development of channel partners within these business segments. Prior to Telstra, Jean was Director of Carrier/Channel Sales for Pacnet, another Asian Based Carrier. For past decade while at Pacnet, Jean managed the Tier 1-3 Carrier/ Channel Segment and as well as focused her efforts with product team to develop products and services for this specific market segment. Jean spent the beginning of her career with top providers such as Sprint, Global Crossing and Cable & Wireless in multiple roles as a sales leader as well as developing solutions for partner channels. These solutions and channels are currently still in place. Over the course of Jean’s career in the telecommunications industry, she has developed particular expertise in relationship building, account strategy and the ability to work with internal teams to deliver complex, integrated network/data solutions. Jean looks forward to serving a two-year term on the Development Committee and working with the Board members at Nanog.

Michael Buchner
KVH

Mike Buchner has been involved with the NANOG community since 2004. He brings over 20 years of experience and a strong track record of success to the NANOG Development Committee. Mike currently serves as Managing Director of US Sales at KVH, a Japanese-based telco provider owned by Fidelity Investments. In this role, Mike is focused on helping US-based carriers, CDNs, ISPs and Service Providers with their network and data center requirements in the Asia Pacific region. Mike also works closely with Colt, KVH's sister company, and can also leverage solutions throughout Colt's European footprint. Prior to KVH, Mike was at Level 3/Global Crossing for approximately 10 years. As AVP of Carrier Sales at Global Crossing, Mike's team enjoyed tremendous success working with the ISP and CDN markets. During this time, he worked directly with many NANOG members and attended several NANOG conferences. He is excited to serve on the NANOG Development Committee and looks forward to contributing to NANOG's ongoing success.

Paul Ebersman
Infoblox

Paul Ebersman has been involved with NANOG to varying degrees since the late 90s and has been working with TCP/IP networks since the mid 80s. Paul currently works in the Infoblox IPv6 Center of Excellence as a technical resource, both internally and to the internet community. He first worked on the internet for the Air Force in 1984. He was employee number 10 at UUNET and helped build AlterNET and the modem network used by MSN, AOL and Earthlink. He has maintained his roots in the internet and the open source community, working for various internet infrastructure companies including ISC and Nominum before coming to Infoblox.

Misako Manca
SoftLayer Technologies

Misako Manca has been involved with NANOG since 2009 in various capacities as part of the Marketing Working Group and the Development Committee through the NewNOG transition. She has also helped jumpstart the NOGLab (formerly named the Vendor Collaboration Room) working closely with vendors who are able to demonstrate their product capabilities in relation to IPv6 deployment. Through her work in the Development Committee, she has helped create Sponsorship programs that help financially support the NANOG meetings and hopes to further improve these programs which will ultimately assist in continuity of the organziation. Misako brings 10+ years of experience in the Telecommunications and Internet services industry and currently holds a position in the Enterprise group at SoftLayer Technologies. At SoftLayer, she manages a number of major accounts, as well as offering account management support to the 25,000+ SoftLayer customers worldwide. Prior to SoftLayer, she has held various executive and account management positions with Ajilon Consulting, Equinix and NTT/Verio (now NTT America).
