The First NANOG Meeting Held in Conjunction With ARIN!
The fall 2002 NANOG meeting was held October 27-29 at the
Eugene Hilton & Conference Center in Eugene, Oregon.
This was a very special occasion -- our first joint meetings with
ARIN, the
American Registry for Internet Numbers. ARIN manages IP numbers for North
and South America, the Caribbean, and sub-Saharan Africa. NANOG met
as usual from Sunday to Tuesday, and ARIN from Wednesday to Friday.
This was our second NANOG meeting in Eugene -- one of the most memorable
NANOGs ever was also hosted by our friends at the
University of Oregon, in 1999.
Sprint was our co-host for NANOG26.
Tutorial sessions began on Sunday afternoon, October 27, at 1:30 p.m.
The General Session and the RealMedia broadcast began at
9:00 a.m. on October 28, and ended at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
October 29.
Thanks to our local hosts,
University of Oregon and
Sprint!
