Call for NANOG Attendees: Vote in NRO NC Election in the ARIN Region

ARIN will conduct an election for one seat on the Number Resource Organization Number Council (NRO NC) from the ARIN region with voting available from 29 September-6 October 2010. All NANOG 50 attendees who have registered for the meeting by 21 September may vote in this election using ARIN's online voting system.

Voting will be handled conveniently online, will generally take less than five minutes, and is a simple way to contribute to the continuing health of Internet governance.

The Number Council advises the NRO's Executive Council on proposed global Internet number resource allocation policies and serves the function of the ICANN Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC). Don't miss your chance to contribute to the structure and management of the Internet by participating in the NRO NC Election.

Information about the NRO NC in the ARIN region is available on ARIN's website: https://www.arin.net/about_us/nronc.html

The ASO AC website provides detailed information on its composition and operating Memorandum of Understanding at: http://aso.icann.org/

The following candidates agreed to run for the one (1) open seat on the NRO NC from the ARIN region after the expiration of Jason Schiller's term on 31 December 2010.
  • Andrew Dul, Cascadeo Corporation
  • Jason Schiller, Verizon
Candidate biographies, statements of support, and a form for voicing support are online at ARIN Election Headquarters (https://www.arin.net/app/election/).

Note that ARIN Designated Member Representatives (DMR) and attendees of NANOG 50 and/or ARIN XXVI are eligible to vote in the NRO NC election, but each person may only cast one vote (either as a NANOG meeting attendee, ARIN meeting attendee, or ARIN DMR).
