Area Architecture
- Both protocols support two-level hierarchy of areas (to reduce SPF graph complexity, and potentially to allow route aggregation)
- OSPF area boundaries fall within a router
- Interfaces bound to areas
- Router may be in many areas
- Router must calculate SPF per area
