Command Line Interfaces
- No standards body currently defines one
- Yet most CLIs have common traits
- Each counter is named
- packets input, packets output
- CLI Counters start at zero and increase in value
- base starting point undefined, usually system start
- CLI Counters may also decrease in value
- Telco style event performance counters
