In early 2002, Richard Clarke of the National Security Council/White House called a meeting among ISPs, device vendors, and some government agencies. Output from the working groups that were formed at the meeting will be incorporated into the President's cyber security policy.
This talk will present a summary of the recommendations from the working groups:
Additional background on the purpose of the groups and the next steps will be presented, and some cautions will be raised about areas on which the government is concentrating, e.g., issues of address accountability and packet and route filtering.
