Abstract: Lack of Priority Queuing on Route Processors Considered Harmful

Vijay Gill, AOL Time Warner

This talk details certain hardware features that are important for the hardening of routers and other network infrastructure. These features are hard to retrofit after the fact. Any changes at this level will involve software rewrites and may require board level changes; therefore the earlier these requirements are communicated to vendors, the better.
