XML for network management has been a popular topic lately. The large toolset available for manipulating XML encoded data, the text-based nature of the data, and the natural applicability to encoding large sets of hierarchical data make XML a good choice for manipulating data representing network configuration and operational state.
This BoF will present several examples of XML-based network management
tools. Examples will include tools currently in production use at
major ISPs, as well as examples of vendor-specific XML tools such
as JUNOScript.
