This tutorial offers an advanced exploration of Fast Reroute (FRR) techniques and operations. Fast Reroute is an important tool in engineering networks for transporting real-time data in addition to traditional Layer 2 technologies. During this tutorial we build on existing engineer skills to discuss the terminology and background for FRR. Both current FRR models, node and link protection, are examined.
