Preventive Measures

• NAP GIGAswitch L2 filtering

• NAP ATM PVCs

• Use “next-hop-self” and reset peer-address

• Remove non-customer routes from NAP routers

• Do not carry NAP subnets in the backbone

• Enforce consistent route announcements
