  • Wouldn’t it be great if someone at the supermarket really enforced the “10 items or less” rule?

• Queuing

  • Place observably similar traffic into a separate queue that will be processed according to some prescribed behavior
  • This might be the “Express Lane” (or “slow lane”)

• Scheduling

  • Employ some form of queue servicing that yields a specific end behavior (fairness) per queue?
