How to Configure Your Browser for Caching at NANOG

This document explains how to configure your browser to use the NANOG Web cache.

The NANOG Proxy Auto-Config URL is:

http://www.nanog.org/proxy.pac

Netscape users:

  1. Select Edit from the main menu bar
  2. Select Preferences....
  3. In the preferences window, click on the small triangle next to Advanced
  4. Select Proxies
  5. Select the Automatic proxy configuration option
  6. Enter the URL given above

Explorer users:

  1. Select View on the main menu bar
  2. Select Internet Options at the bottom
  3. Select the Connection tab
  4. Select Configure... in the Automatic Configuration sub-window
  5. Enter the URL given above
