Abstract: | The exhaustion of the remaining pool of IPv4 addresses was seen to be the motivation that would propel this industry into the universal deployment of IPv6. What other pressures are driving this industry and how reasonable is the expectation that the Internet will complete the transition to IPv6? This presentation will look at the current status of IPv4 address consumption and draw some inferences from this data about the state of the transition to IPv6. | |
