Vaccination Requirements for NANOG 83

Keeping our community safe

by Edward McNair

The global COVID-19 pandemic has brought challenges, and disruptions that most of us thought were unimaginable. The release and availability of the vaccine across our region brings us closer to some degree of normalcy. In an effort to create the safest environment for our community, we are requiring that all NANOG attendees provide proof of vaccination before attending NANOG 83 in Minneapolis.

In addition, we will be taking the temperatures of all attendees. Anyone with a fever will not be allowed into the meeting space. We know that this decision is not without controversy, however, we believe it's the most prudent way to assure the highest degree of safety for those attending our event.

For our international guests, we will honor the proof of vaccination that allowed you to enter the United States.

We look forward to the day when this is all behind us. However, until then, we will err on the side of caution. We will do all that we can to limit the chance of infection for those who choose to participate in our conference.

We hope that our decision to require proof of vaccination makes those on the fence about joining us in Minneapolis feel more at ease.  We look forward to seeing those who can attend—as always, our community's health and happiness are paramount.
